Do you regularly experience abdominal complaints or a bloated feeling after eating grain products? Ignoring these signals can undermine your daily energy and vitality, while the cause may lie in a sensitivity to gluten. The Gluten self-test from The Tester helps you to gain more insight into your health in an accessible way, so that you can work in a targeted manner on a balanced diet that suits your body.
Coeliac disease is an immune reaction to the protein gluten, in which the body produces specific antibodies (tTG-IgA). This self-test uses a small amount of blood to demonstrate the presence of these antibodies. It is an essential first step for those who take their well-being seriously and want to investigate whether gluten is the cause of physical discomfort. Please note: for a reliable result, you must still be consuming gluten at the time of testing.

The set contains: Instructions for use (step-by-step instructions), Sealed test cassette (for the allergy test), Alcohol swab (for cleaning the skin), Finger prick/lancet (for blood collection), Transfer pipette (for dosing the blood sample), Buffer solution (for the test procedure) and an Adhesive plaster (for wound care).
Preparation: Open the sealed packaging and place the test cassette on a flat surface. Massage your fingertip and clean it with the provided alcohol swab. Hold your arm down for a few minutes to improve blood flow to the fingers. Blood collection: Press the automatic lancet firmly against the fingertip and let a drop of blood appear. Use the transfer pipette to collect the blood. Add two drops of blood to the test cassette on the marked spot. Test procedure: Add two drops of buffer solution to the same spot. Wait 10-15 minutes and read the result.
Medical device. Read the instructions for use before use. Not suitable for people who have been eating gluten-free for more than two months, as this can lead to a false-negative result. The test is intended for self-diagnosis, but confirmation by a doctor is recommended in the event of a positive result. If gluten has been avoided for longer than two months, the test result may be unreliable. In the event of a positive test result or persistent symptoms, medical advice is recommended. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Do not use after the expiry date on the packaging.
