How it works
The thyroid regulates crucial processes such as growth and metabolism with the hormones T3 and T4. The thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) controls this production. An elevated TSH value (above 5 IU/ml) is often an indication that the thyroid is working too slowly and needs extra stimulation. This test specifically detects this elevated value via a small drop of blood, which helps you determine whether a visit to the GP for further examination is advisable.

Use & Dosage
The TSH-Check can be used at any time of the day. Wash your hands and use the alcohol pad to clean the fingertip. Use the lancet for a finger prick and collect the blood with the capillary dropper. Add the blood to the test cassette followed by the buffer solution (exactly 2 to 3 drops). Read the result after exactly 10 minutes. The colour intensity of the lines is not important; any visible test line indicates a positive result.
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not use during hormonal medical treatment of the thyroid. The result is unreliable after more than 20 minutes. In case of a positive result (TSH higher than 5 IU/ml), you should always consult a doctor. A negative result does not exclude an overactive thyroid; always consult a medical expert in case of persistent complaints. The test is intended exclusively for in-vitro diagnostics.
