How it works
When the body is exposed to the Borrelia bacterium, the immune system produces IgM antibodies. These are typically detectable 2 to 6 weeks after an infection. The Tik'Alert test uses immunochromatography to identify these specific antibodies. Although the test does not determine the disease stage, a positive result serves as an important indicator for further medical consultation and possible treatment.

Ingredients
The test kit contains a test device (cassette), a plastic pipette, a dropper bottle with diluent and a sterile lancet for blood collection.
Use & Dosage
1. Prepare the test device, the pipette and the dropper bottle with diluent. Remove them from the protective pouch. Remove the screw cap from the diluent dropper bottle.
2. Clean the tip of the middle finger or ring finger with alcohol. Press the lancet firmly against the side of the finger and press the release button.
3. Bring the plastic pipette into contact with the blood sample without pressing the bulb. The blood migrates by capillarity to the indicated line.
4. Dispense the blood into the sample opening of the cassette by pressing the pipette. Wait 30-40 seconds. Add 4 drops of diluent to the well, with an interval of 2-3 seconds. Read the result after 10 minutes. Do not interpret after 15 minutes.
