Proviform uses the biologically active form menaquinone-7 (MK7) for vitamin K2, from K2 VitalDelta® with its high absorbability and stability.

The importance of vitamin D for bones is well known. Recent studies have shown that the combination of vitamin K2 as vitamin MK7 and vitamin D3 is more effective than either nutrient alone. Vitamin K2 and D3 have a strong synergistic effect.

The human body produces vitamin D3 itself, provided the skin is sufficiently exposed to sunlight. Especially in the winter months, this is not always sufficient. Researchers estimate that 40% of people over 50 have a deficiency of this ‘sunshine’ vitamin. Apart from fatty fish species, there are few foods that contain vitamin D.

A great deal of research has been conducted into the functions of vitamin D3 in the body. This has shown that vitamin D has many more functions than was assumed. The population groups at greatest risk of a vitamin D deficiency are the elderly, pregnant women, children, people with dark skin, and people who wear covering clothing.

Usage
Take 1 capsule per day during a meal with water.

This food supplement is not suitable for children up to and including 10 years of age.

Consult a doctor before using vitamin K2 if using coumarin derivatives (anticoagulants such as acenocoumarol and phenprocoumon).
