With the exception of tea tree and lavender, essential oils must not be applied neat to the skin. If an essential oil accidentally gets into the eyes or causes irritation, immediately apply a fatty plant oil to the area. In case of accidental internal use, also immediately drink several sips of fatty plant oil. Essential oils dissolve best in olive oil or sunflower oil, for example.
