Zovirax cold sore cream 50 mg/g speeds up the healing of cold sores and shortens the period of pain.

What this medicine is used for
For the treatment of cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus.

Do not use if
You have a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient aciclovir, valaciclovir, propylene glycol, or any of the other ingredients in the cream.

Other information
Consult a GP if:

• Any baby has a cold sore.
• The sores have not disappeared after 14 days.
• The inflammation spreads or if pus comes out of the blisters.
• Blisters appear on other parts of the body.
• You have a weakened immune system or eczema.

Do not use on:

• Mucous membranes, such as in the mouth, eye, or vagina.
• Not suitable for the treatment of genital herpes (an STI).

Active ingredients
One gram of cream contains 50 mg of aciclovir

Excipients
