How it works
This knitted viscose gauze dressing is impregnated with 100% medicinal Manuka honey from New Zealand, which has been filtered and sterilised for safe medical use. The honey acts as a debrider, meaning it helps remove dead tissue and slough. Due to the high sugar concentration, the honey draws moisture from the deeper tissues to the wound surface (osmosis), which accelerates cleaning and forms a barrier against infections, supported by scientific knowledge about natural wound care.

Knitted viscose gauze impregnated with 100% Manuka Honey.
Use & Dosage
Remove the cap, apply generously to the wound bed to a minimum depth of 5mm and cover with a secondary dressing. Activon Tube is for single patient use; use within four days after opening. Use Activon Tube in combination with Algivon for debriding and removing slough. For wounds with a high level of exudate, a super-absorbent dressing can be used to manage the exudate. The honey can be removed with a normal saline solution.
Safety & Disclaimer
Although honey is not absorbed into the bloodstream, we advise monitoring glucose levels in diabetic patients. Do not use if the patient is allergic to bee venom. Some discomfort may occur when applying the honey. This depends on the sensitivity of the wound and can be remedied with the appropriate level of analgesia. The initial discomfort generally subsides on its own. If the discomfort persists, the application of honey should be discontinued and the wound should then be rinsed with a saline solution.
