C-reactive protein (CRP) is a non-specific marker produced mainly by the liver and used to diagnose bacterial infectious diseases and inflammatory disorders. CRP is a highly sensitive and rapidly visible indicator that can therefore be useful in determining antibiotic treatment. Depending on the CRP concentration, different lines appear, allowing for a semi-quantitative interpretation of the test result. In healthy patients, the CRP concentration is lower than 8mg/L, while the concentration level can exceed 100mg/L in the case of a severe infection or during an inflammatory process. Intermediate levels, between 8 and 100 mg/L, occur with more or less mild viral or bacterial infections that can be easily overcome with appropriate treatment prescribed by your doctor.

Instructions for use:

• Prepare the test device, the pipette, and the dropper bottle with diluent. Remove them from the protective pouch (tear at the notch). Remove the screw cap from the diluent dropper bottle and leave it nearby.
• Clean the tip of the middle or ring finger with cotton wool moistened with alcohol. Press the lancet firmly against the side of the previously cleaned finger and press the release button.
