Ingredients
The active ingredient is glucosamine. This is present in the form of a glucosamine hemisulphate 2KCl-potassium chloride complex, corresponding to 400 mg of glucosamine (= 509 mg of glucosamine hemisulphate). Excipients: magnesium stearate, gelatin and titanium dioxide (E 171).
Use & Dosage
Adults and the elderly: Take 1 capsule 3 times a day (this means 1200 mg of glucosamine, corresponding to over 1500 mg of glucosamine hemisulphate). The daily dose can also be taken all at once. The capsule(s) must be taken with a full glass of water. Glucosamine is not recommended for acute pain. The effect is usually noticeable within a few weeks after the start of treatment and in some cases longer. If there is no improvement after 2-3 months, the treatment should be re-evaluated. Children: Glucosamine Pharma Nord should not be used by children under 18 years of age without medical supervision. Maximum dosage: 3 capsules per day. Take with a full glass of water. Do not use if: you are hypersensitive to shellfish, as the active substance is derived from shellfish. If you are hypersensitive to glucosamine or any of the other ingredients. During pregnancy: Must NOT be used. During breastfeeding: Must NOT be used. Do not use for acute pain, diabetes, reduced kidney function or a potassium-restricted diet, or in combination with anticoagulants or tetracyclines. Do not use for longer than 2-3 months.
