Active ingredient
Each tablet contains 100 mg of mebendazole.
Other ingredients
Maize starch, sodium lauryl sulphate, gelatin, glycerol (E422), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium starch glycolate, sodium saccharin (E954), crospovidone (E1202), colloidal silicon dioxide (E551) and magnesium stearate (E470b).
Dosage and use
The correct dosage depends on the type of worm infection. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure or if symptoms persist.
For threadworms
Take 1 tablet as a single dose. All family members should be treated at the same time and repeat the treatment after 2 weeks by taking another 1 tablet each. The first dose kills the worms but not their eggs, which may cause a new infection.
If the infection has not cleared, repeat the complete course: take 1 tablet, followed by another 1 tablet after 2 weeks. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if the infection still persists after this treatment.
This dosage applies to adults and children aged 2 years and over.
For roundworms, whipworms, hookworms and mixed infections
Take 1 tablet twice daily for 3 days: one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening. If the infection has not completely cleared after 3 weeks, the treatment may need to be repeated. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist.
This dosage applies to adults and children aged 2 years and over.
Children under 2 years of age
Due to insufficient available data, no standard dosage can be recommended for children under 2 years of age. Only give this medicine to young children after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
Directions for use
The tablets may be chewed or swallowed with liquid. Crush the tablet before giving it to a young child and always supervise the child while taking the medicine.
Always read the package leaflet before use. The duration of treatment and any repeat course depend on the type of worm infection and the progression of symptoms.
