Strepsils Original contains two key active ingredients: Amylmetacresol and 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol. Ingredients
Amylmetacresol, 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol, star anise oil, peppermint oil (contains Anisyl alcohol, d-Limonene and Linalool), menthol, tartaric acid, ponceau 4R (E 124), azorubine (E 122), sugar, glucose (contains WHEAT starch and SULPHUR DIOXIDE (E220)).
Use & Dosage
Adults and children over 6 years: Dissolve one lozenge slowly every 2 to 3 hours. Maximum 12 lozenges per 24 hours. Use for a maximum of 3 days. Maintain 2-3 hour intervals, dissolve the lozenge slowly. If there is no improvement in the complaint, do not use for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

Do not use if allergic to any of the substances. Must NOT be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a GP in case of: shortness of breath, complaints on only one side, swallowing problems, drooling, chronic illnesses, or a sore throat lasting longer than 10 days with fever.
