How it works
Sodium silicate is a liquid silicate that penetrates deep into the pores and hairline cracks of mineral substrates. After drying, it forms a glass-like barrier that blocks moisture. This process can be accelerated by slightly preheating the object to approximately 50°C. It is a functional solution for maintenance in and around the house, fitting the practical needs of the whole family.

Use & Dosage
Sodium silicate is used, among other things, as an adhesive component for paint layers and glues. It can also be used to make porous ceramics and similar items with cracked glaze layers watertight. To do this, the part to be treated is poured over or coated with the liquid sodium silicate. Under certain conditions, slightly preheating the part to approx. 50°C is an advantage to allow for faster drying. The layer formed after drying sits in the pores or cracks and seals the part. Sodium silicate is also used to make casting compounds more fluid, meaning less water needs to be used.
